Next Meeting: What, When, Where?

When?:I'd love to meet Lisa's sister while she's in town! Since she's only here for 2 weeks, I'd vote the week of Sept. 21st. I teach Tuesday evenings. Cathy is not available Thursday the 24th, right Cathy? Would Monday or Wednesday work for everyone?

What?: Since it's only a week away and not time enough for most of us to get through a novel, I'd suggest short stories, like we did in May.

Where?: Anyone up for hosting?

  2. On the week of Sept 21, I'm going to be in Kentville, NS for work from Sun-Wed but don't let that influence the timing of the bc meeting. The reality is that I'm going to be out of town a lot until spring. I'll try to make as many bookclub meetings as I can. If I'm in town, I'll be there!

Wendy, I did enjoy "The Power of One" when I read it a million years ago but I suspect most folks would have read it already. I hope you enjoy it!

I have ordered 6 audible books - all classics. I'm currently listening to "The Count of Monte Cristo". It's awesome!

  5. let's just forget about reading short stories and make this an 'organizational' meeting, okey dokey? Maybe we can all bring a suggestion or two for what we'll read in the coming months. If you can't make it, then email a few suggestions in advance. It would be nice I think to have a reading list for three or four months at a time so we can keep our eyes open for good buys on books...
